The Challenge
Romax Techology had a highly complex requirement - to develop a website that could reinforce the identity of their two very different divisions; Transportation and Wind Energy. In addition they wanted to deliver their message in two languages - English and Chinese. And all of this had to be delivered within the framework of their corporate brand. Both website section identities and languages had to be easily controlled through the CMS for all content elements including news, vacanies and testimonials.
The Approach
The Romax Technology site utilises the River CMS ability to use different Cascading Style Sheets to allow the three different sections of the site to have their own definition and feel. River CMS also accomodated a client defined Chinese font, with specific character spacing. The system has also given Romax the ability to use dynamic callouts that automatically show relevant case studies, news stories or vacancies on all pages throughout the site.
The Results
The site has a very unique look due to the use of multiple style sheets that define the three unique sections. This, however, does not detract from the site's cohesive design and navigation where, in a site of almost 300 pages, a visitor can get anywhere in 3 clicks. The multi-language facility not only displays the site in two languages, but also allows the client to optimise each section and page for great SEO performance in both English and Chinese search engines.
The site also uses a host of dynamic callouts, including news, testimonials and vacancies. These callouts display the latest Corporate, Transport or Wind Energy information in the relevant site section and, whatever section or language, all site visitors are monitored and analysed in Google Analytics.
