RTM Website Recognised as ‘Best In Industry’

Rail Technology Magazine (RTM) has been awarded the ‘Best Magazine Website’ by the Web Marketing Association in the WebAwards 2013.

Now in its 17th year, The Web Marketing Association's WebAwards recognise Internet excellence at its best and is highly coveted by digital agencies, web designers and IT professionals worldwide.

This year’s entries were judged across 7 categories, including: design, copy writing, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, and use of technology.

The RTM website, which was designed and developed by Senior for Cognitive Publishing, was scored highly on all levels with special recognition given to the creative design's visual impact.

“We are extremely pleased to be recognised by the Web Marketing Association for the ‘Best in Industry' web award,” said Tricia Durrant, Client Services Director at Senior. “This is a fantastic achievement for Senior and RTM as it confirms that the website is officially best of breed in the magazine sector”.

Based on RiverCMS, the website design, banners, callouts, navigation structure and content management system were developed by Senior and the content and copywriting was supplied by RTM.
The website was praised for a number of innovative features including; multiple news categorisation, sophisticated call out integration and targeted on-page advertising using an integrated data feeds from Adtech.

“Our success is largely due to the close partnerships we have fostered with Cognitive Publishing. It was truly a joint effort between agency and client that produced this award winning site”.

The 24-carat gold plated trophy arrived at Senior Towers this week and has taken pride of place in Senior’s ever expanding trophy display.
