Senior websites unaffected by Heartbleed bug

There’s a lot of panic around the web right now but we wanted to reassure you that Senior websites are unaffected by the Heartbleed bug.

The bug is a weakness in a component of recent versions of OpenSSL. A large number of websites run on OpenSSL, but our websites are served directly from Microsoft IIS. This means our systems were not at risk from Heartbleed Bug.

Information on the websites that were affected is available through the LastPass website. Click here to search domains and find out which pages are affected by the vulnerability. Mashable also has a list of affected websites here

We pride ourselves on delivering highly secure websites and because of this, we don’t use open source software in our systems. However we do advise you to check what other websites have been affected in the links above and change your password.

Importantly, if you use the same password for everything then you should also change your password on our system (and any other websites you use) as your password might already have been stolen via these other sites. We would advise you to communicate this information to your website users. We will be sending our clients further information and ideas for this via an email.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our support team.
