The Challenge
Payzone is a very well established player within the payment acceptance
market, with solutions for mobile top-ups, energy pre-payment and a number of
other market leading payment solutions. In 2010/2011 the company introduced a
first class product into the card processing market – this was where there was
a need for a new product-led website.
The website’s objective was to quickly increase the product’s market share by
building brand awareness and appeal. Payzone wanted to differentiate themselves
from their competitors by targeting a defined segment of the market – small to
mid-sized retail businesses.
Informing visitors of the benefits of using Payzone for their card
processing and answering FAQ’s was a clear aim – this would help to generate leads.
Payzone also wanted to maximise its order values through the site. In addition,
the visitor journey needed to push customers towards other products of related
interest.
Providing a simple, swift and secure buying experience for users was pivotal
– as well as, of course, high visibility within search engines.
The implementation of the new Payzone Cards website
was required within a tight and demanding timescale – this was a challenge
within itself!
The Approach
We began by consulting thoroughly with the Payzone
Cards team, discovering underlying requirements and performing a full audit of
key aspects relevant to the construction of the site. Target market, user
requirements and bespoke features were just a few aspects we researched.
River CMS was used as the platform for the site.
With the majority of Senior-built sites using this platform, it has developed
into a multi-feature, modular content management system and is capable of
frequent enhancements and functionality additions. It therefore fits seamlessly
into Payzone’s long term strategy.
With ease of use at the heart of River CMS, this
allows Payzone to fully control the site themselves.
The Results
Payzone’s new Card
Acceptance website successfully communicates their branding identity messages
and values. Over time, this will raise their profile and help to gain market
share.
The clean and
engaging design coupled with quirky features gives an excellent
impression to both prospective and existing clients. The site utilises clear and
easy-to use navigation – this has met Payzone’s requirement to offer a simple
and secure buying experience for its users.
A fast turnaround was achieved – this certainly did
not affect quality with the Head of Card Acceptance commenting “The site is
clean, easy to navigate and looks great!”.
