The Challenge

ShipNet is very successful within marine industries, developing software solutions for businesses. The company is owned by Inchcape Shipping Services, a high profile marine services provider.

The objective of the new website is to raise ShipNet’s profile and promote their products and services more effectively. They also want to differentiate themselves from their competitors.

Another key requirement is to generate a high number of new business leads from the website as well as informing their existing clients and partners.

Search engine visibility is also high on the agenda. It would be a missed opportunity for ShipNet not to be found in search engines for relevant key phrases.

The Approach

In order to establish key areas for website redevelopment, we first performed a full marketing review and consulted thoroughly with the ShipNet team. A few of the areas highlighted from this research were target market, user requirements and bespoke features.

It was concluded that River CMS would be the platform that the new site would use. Some of the features that we have included on the ShipNet site are the news module with RSS, vacancy module, internal search facility, blog and password protected area.
