Fieldstar is a brand new national association created for individuals
involved within field marketing, mystery shopping and brand experience. It was formed to provide its members with training, recruitment and networking opportunities, news and information.

The Challenge
Fieldstar wanted a website that would establish themselves, raise the sector’s
profile and entice people involved within field marketing, mystery shopping and
brand experience to join as a member.
They therefore required a highly customised website that would ‘phase’
new functionality in over a period of time as the associations grows.
Systems integration with a suitable membership management / CRM
system was integral to the build to ensure efficiency and
accuracy.
As a final requirement, it was key that Fieldstar would rate well in search
engines – this would bring more visitors to the site.
The Approach
The River
CMS product is perfect for scalable websites
and therefore ideal for this phased approach.
We provided Fieldstar with the River CMS modules perfect for membership
organisations including the vacancies, news management and extranet
modules. Members can search for jobs and browse useful information in
the member’s area.
Design was angled superbly towards the target audiences and functionality
was provided to allow parties to join the organisation online.
The website was integrated with MemberBase
CRM with automatic flow of data between the CMS website and the
membership management system.
Functionality was built to allow recruiter members to post their
jobs online in return for paying a fee online. A great deal of
additional functionality is set to be phased in as this project matures
including the integration of a mature online-learning and CPD system, a
recruiter directory and thorough publications and resources section.
The Results
The Fieldstar site has the ability to grow in terms of size and features due
to the sophisticated and bespoke membership bank-end system.
The front-end of the site uses a clear and professional design and is easily
navigable, resulting in a smooth user experience. This means that candidates
can easily join as a member, browse jobs and training courses and post jobs.
Google has indexed over 1000 pages at time of writing. The website also
rates well in search rankings for relevant key words - two thirds of visitors
have discovered the site through search engines. This also successfully raises
the sector’s profile, through being found more easily and regularly.
The website is highly successful - members are steadily joining the
organisation and the website is attracting 100+ visitors a day.
