Who are Connected Nottingham?
Connected Nottingham is a brand initiative developed by Accelerate
Nottingham and its partners to encapsulate a forward-thinking city
driven by the shared aim of connecting business, education and the
community through cutting edge ICT. Connected
Nottingham is the city’s overarching campaign to support past, present
and future ICT investment in Greater Nottingham.
The Challenge
The Connected Nottingham campaign to support ICT investment in the
Nottingham area required a website that would allow them to keep
people up to date with all the latest news and organised events that
are taking place throughout the country. The website also needed strong social media capabilities and e-newsletter functions to broadcast events and news in real time.
The Approach
Using River CMS, the category news manager, RSS feeds, social bookmarking and social media integration with Twitter, the Connected Nottingham website was built and launched within 6 weeks includign CRM integration with the company's Goldmine CRM system.
The Results
The result is a slick looking website with plenty of information for
visitors to consume as a visitor or as a subscriber. The website catipulated Connected Nottingham's profile and assisted majorly in the success of the scheme.
