Shared Hosting

Senior offers a range of Microsoft Windows based shared hosting packages to its web clients. As with all of our hosting products, our shared hosting packages are built on rock solid IBM Blade technology.

Shared hosting is only available to Senior web clients and is managed on their behalf by Senior. We do not sell hosting space to the public, and we do not allow any users to have direct access to the servers under any circumstances. All this means that your data is secure on our shared servers, as only we have access to them. Additionally it means that the only code running on the server, is the code that we have written – there’s no chance of someone uploading poorly written code to their site that could adversely affect the performance of your site.

Our shared hosting servers are arranged in a clustered environment for maximum resilience. All data is accessed from a central pool and is served by multiple servers meaning that in the unlikely event of a technical problem that prevented one of the clustered servers from returning your website, requests would be instantly and automatically directed to the other servers in the cluster with no interruption to service.

Similarly, the databases required by our websites are run on a completely separate set of clustered servers that offer similar benefits in terms of performance and resilience.
