I Love VECT

I love VECT is the official Swobbles sales site of the design and marketing company of the new Swobbles brand, with Mr Men and Little Miss under license. Following on from the success of the previous sites, it’s another Senior e-commerce development for Pacemaker UK.

The site joins the family of sites developed for Pacemaker UK. Its product catalogue and e-commerce system operates from a centralised product database that enables Pacemaker UK admin to push product information through to a suite of e-commerce sites. These currently include The Turds and Fresh Cargo, with plans for more in the pipeline.

The design brief for the site was to be cute, fun and friendly and make you smile every time you visit. A clear design vision was developed to support and enhance the character of the toys, with an international feel created by the colours, styling and use of imagery. This created a design that wasn’t UK centric or preoquial and that appealed directly to the target market.  The first design concept was received very well by the client and was signed off immediately.

Buying on the site is a joy. Find your product, click the ‘Add’ button and the cart updates without refreshing the page. This means that every time you choose an item, you stay exactly where you are – no movement at all – just add an item to the cart and carry on shopping. Just have a look at the slickness of the process… you’ll be impressed.

You also get the opportunity of registering with the site if you wish. This retains your details for future visits and auto populates details after entering a user name and password. You can also opt-in to receive newsletters and new product alerts.

E-commerce transactions are done via the secure Worldpay facility and the site is fully search engine optimised. It is also supported by a fully featured online marketing package featuring ongoing SEO, PPC, e-PR and link strategies to support the future growth of the VECT brands.
