New charity site for the Sherwood Foundation

Senior are honoured to announce the launch of thesherwoodfoundation.org.uk – a website for a truly worthy course. The Sherwood Foundation was set up in May 2011 by Andy & Julie Sherwood. Andy was diagnosed with a primary brain tumour in September 2010 and now needs to undergo pioneering drug treatment in Texas, USA. The cost of the treatment alone is in the region of £100,000. The primary aim of the foundation is to organise a series of fundraising events and help towards the cost of this for Andrew.

The history between Andy Sherwood and Senior

Andy and Senior have a long established relationship. We first met Andy when he was recommended to help us with various structural and architectural projects when we were renovating our former offices, The Stables in Mapperley. Our relationship strengthened further when we planned a move to new premises on Canal Street. Andy and his team were then heavily involved in various surveying tasks on the property and helping us to prepare the building for its new purpose as a home to a technology company. The help continued further by helping Senior to get planning permission for signage and banners on the building.

Following this, Andy appointed Senior in 2008 to design and build RiverCMS sites for both of his companies, Seguro and Ministry of Design UK.

So where did Senior step in to help?

We were all really shocked to hear Andy’s news and wanted to help in whichever way we could. When we heard about the US treatment and the fundraising that was needed, we immediately offered to help by donating an appropriate url and a RiverCMS website. Andy accepted our offer in late June and we have designed and built the website in double quick time. The donations have already started rolling in thick and fast and we really hope that the new website will help to attract further donations to get Andy out to US for his treatment fast.

If you feel that you wish to contribute to The Sherwood Foundation then please donate now!
