Creative Pioneers Discover New Horizons

www.creativepioneers.co.uk

The Creative Pioneers campaign is an evergreen hub for young people looking to put one foot on the ladder in the advertising, creative and digital media industry. They direct young people into work in the media sector through use of competitions, special events, training and apprenticeships and when it comes to their site, their ethos has always been simple: make it fun!

Our History

This is the fourth season for Creative Pioneers; an initiative set up by our long-time partners the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA). Every year the campaign evolves, this year there has been a change of focus from internships to offering apprenticeships with agencies and a fresh new website look and content was vital.

In its first year, supported by a massive national advertising campaign, over 30,000 entrants flocked to the website-facilitated competition, allowing them to upload their videos to enter the competition to win placements in top UK agencies.

Key features

This year the emphasis has changed from a short term competition-based campaign to an all year around job board where apprenticeships are on offer in partnership with Metro, Apprenciciships.gov.uk and over 50 top UK creative agencies.

Creative Pioneers have recently secured Metro as a partner and this is a very high profile campaign that runs UK wide in all Metro newspapers as full page adverts and wraparounds.

How it will help them

The website frames the context of Creative Pioneers and aims to excite and engage visitors. Targeted primarily at school and college leavers it's important that the site be responsive for use on mobile devices.  Candidates can apply online, and then upload a video via our website to support their application.

Another website aim is to become the go-to place for school leavers who aspire to make it in the media industries and for agencies to engage with emerging new digital natives and creative talent.

Senior has collaborated with the IPA on their on-going project since its inception in 2011 and has always endeavoured to deliver something appealing and engaging to young professionals, incorporating personality through multi-media and innovative graphics.
