Sun is Shining after Headlands Appointment

Headlands, the overseas property developer and real estate agent, has appointed Senior Internet to devise and implement its new web strategy.

Senior Internet will commence work next month on redesigning headlands.co.uk, instigating a search engine optimisation campaign, e-pr activity and wider web marketing tactics to secure a greater return on investment from the web for Headlands.

Established in 1969, Headlands is one of the oldest and most respected overseas real estate companies. Active in Brazil, Bulgaria, Cape Verde, Cyprus, Dubai, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Spain and Turkey, Headlands is the only overseas property company to offer a wide variety of different locations and property types in all of its specialist countries.

Fully registered with all the appropriate authorities and governing bodies both at home and abroad, Headlands offers a full pre- and after-sales service, including independent financial, mortgage and legal advice in association with reputable companies.

Senior Internet’s Tim Beaver will be leading the account team, reporting to Headlands’ Marketing Manager, Lynne Dickens.

“Headlands has traditionally used conventional national press and property media to reach its customers,” says Tim. “However, over recent years the return on investment from this has declined, whereas the internet is increasingly popular for Headlands’ key customer demographic. We’re looking at making the website much more central to Headlands’ marketing activity and doing this in a way which is lot more subtle in its approach than traditional press advertising.”

Nottingham-based Senior is planning to exploit the popularity of social networking on the internet within Headlands’ marketing. The aim is to make the company’s site the first port of call for information and advice on buying property abroad. Complementing this activity will be a search engine optimisation campaign and an online PR push to raise awareness of the site and increase the number of inbound links.

“We’re very much looking forward to working with Senior Internet,” says Lynne Dickens. “When we first came to see them we were only really considering revamping our website, but the Senior team have given us a lot more to consider and we’re confident that bringing our internet activity into the centre of marketing activity, rather than on the periphery will pay dividends.”

Senior is aiming to hand over a new look website and begin its online marketing activity in earnest at the beginning of September, the start of key buying period as people return from summer holidays with a keen desire to purchase property in the country they’ve just visited.
