Following the successful launch of Newsworks’ Tech Nation microsite, which attracted almost 200,000 visitors in less than 3 days, the website has recently been nominated for the FWA’s Site of the Day.
Working in close collaboration with client Newsworks, we developed the microsite to promote the findings of the Tech Nation Research Programme, which investigated the UK’s consumption of modern technology.
The website included an interactive ‘Geek Calculator, developed by the Senior Digital Team, which used a series of questions and a complex algorithm to profile people who took the test – telling them their ‘Geek Type’.
The Geek Calculator, created using River CMSs Quiz Module, proved to be extremely popular, attracting more than 150,000 submissions on launch day and generating more than 300 days worth of on-site activity.
