About the Webby Awards

“The event is a red carpet affair… that has become one of the most important awards honouring achievement on the Internet.”

- Forbes.com

The Webby Awards is the leading international award honouring excellence on the Internet. Established in 1996 during the Web's infancy, The Webbys is presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS) — a 1,000+ member judging body that includes Executive Members comprised of leading Web experts, business figures, luminaries, visionaries and creative celebrities, and Associate Members who are former Webby Award Winners and Nominees and other Internet professionals.

About the IPA site

In 2006, Senior Internet took on the design and build of the new IPA website. The project took 18 months to complete, with the folks at Senior working to produce a site for the IPA that met their extremely high standards and soaring vision. Since its launch in 2008 it has won 4 prestigious awards, the first of which being the Webby Award as the’ Best Association Website’ Honouree in 2010.

At this point, the IPA site was relatively new, and its key aims reflected in its design; to engage its members with the many thousands of pieces of content; to stand out from the crowd and to deliver a high quality of performance and design. Our receipt of this award in 2010, and the site’s continuation to attain the top result in 3 out of the past four years, proves that we achieved this. As far as we are aware no other UK agency has managed to achieve this continued level of Webby recognition – we are incredibly proud.
