Davey Award - Bottlegreen 2010

About the Davey Awards

The International Davey Awards recognises outstanding creative web work from around the world. Honourees are chosen for achieving outstanding results in their field; those who “derive their strength from their big ideas instead of stratospheric budgets”; and demonstrate a fresh and innovative flare as well as sharp business capabilities. In 2010, there were more than 4,000 entries and we collected our trophy in partnership with the IPA as number one in the Associations category.

 Aims of the website

As an FMCG, Bottlegreen found that its consumer and customer reach was almost entirely offline. They found they needed a website that was going to help them find out who their target demographics were, as well as attract and reach out to consumers in a more personal and engaging way. Their ultimate aim was to bring their family owned business into the 21st century and tap into the hidden world of online marketing.

 Special features

Senior worked alongside Bottlegreen to map out an extensive marketing campaign; finding out who their target audience was through use of viral campaigns and competitions.

Not only were these carried out through the use of expertly crafted micro sites- a user could find out interactively information regarded new product and flavour launches through the use of microsites- but also integrated with on-pack promotions; proving Senior’s mettle at achieving results on or offline.

We also helped Bottlegreen see the importance of Search Engine Optimisation and realised incredible results using this simple strategy.

At the end of 2 years utilising these targeted marketing campaigns we had collected over 300,000 opt-in consumer records multiplying Bottlegreen’s reach several times over.

Not only this but the Search Engine Optimisation we created placed Bottlegreen at the number 1 spot for searches of key phrases including ‘soft drinks’, ‘elderflower cordial’ and ‘cordial’.
